Stellar example of what a well executed digital community resource can look like. I appreciate all the work everyone puts into this project, including developers, voice artists, and everyone else. Suggestion- Android auto interface could be polished further. E.g. Have 15 second rewind/ffwd options rather than start from beginning of chapter; open the app to last playing rather than the whole shelf or suggested titles.

Excellent app. You get so much stuff, there's radio plays, audio dramas, nonfiction, religion, classics, pulp fiction, just everything for basically every genre. Yes, some readers are not great but 1) it's free and 2) usually there are more than one recordings of the same book with a different reader, so if you don't like one, you'll probably find another one that you do. I have not had an issue with the sleep timer like other reviews have reported. I start my book and it keeps going all night.

This type of application is exactly what humanity needs right now. I think with more investment into the library and a few updates, and the application will be in a field of its own. Tip to new listeners: find a narrator you like first, and then every story becomes more interesting than if read by a voice you don't recognize.

In the past I have loved this app but now ive had multiple issues and have contacted them and get no response and 3 weeks later still having the same issues. The most frustrating issue is the app not saving my place and when I go to resume the book it's way further behind. Also not going to the next chapter. I have to swipe through the chapter I'm on to get it to play the next one.

This app and content are amazing! When the app is playing in the background it only pauses the audio if another app is actually playing a sound and not something like a muted video and resumes much quicker when the audio ends. I don't know how you did it but I wish all other apps would work the same way. I'm impressed!

App stops playing randomly, have to keep closing the app and reopening to continue listening to an audio book, but half the time the place is lost and I have to skip ahead to find where I was then 5 minutes later it stops and does it all over again. The ad version never did this, wish I never bought the paid version.

Honestly a great app and good service. Lots of free and paid audiobook options and good quality recordings. I listen to a lot of audiobooks at work to help me focus or learn languages. Only flaws are the limited search parameters (mostly just keyword search) and that if I'm listening to multiple chapters of the same audiobook in a row, I might have to back out of the app to continue playing.

Everything I wanted. I love having the classics at my figure tips in an easy to digest (and free) audio format. This app works great and I haven't had any issues with it. (Edit 2022) Even after 5 years, I still love this app and service. It has been my steadfast companion on my trips to work. I really can't express in 500 characters how great it is to have classics in literature, theology and more in such a easy format. Even with regular updates I've never experienced a disruption or issue.

LibriVox Audio Books *Supporter* is the only one of the two versions of this app that supports Google Cast correctly for me. Most of functionality is pretty intuitive to use, but the playback options are definitely primitive, and the default screen doesn't reliability reflect what you last played, perhaps because the app doesn't request any permissions. LibriVox, as a service in general, is wonderful. Volunteer readers will always be hit and miss, but it's better than nothing.

I paid for this app twice. You can buy it as an in-app purchase on the ad-supported version, but it doesn't add to your family library. This one on Google Play does. Although annoyed, I think it was worth it to support this free audiobook community. You can find great classic titles that are often overlooked by pro readers because they won't appeal to the masses. Check out for example great performances of Orlando Furioso and Clausewitz's On War.
