Earbuds Delay Test

Check the delay of your earbuds.

Earbuds Delay Test - Measure Your Audio Sync

"Earbuds Delay Test" is an Android app designed to measure the audio delay of your earbuds by comparing the playback start time to the sound output time. This helps users identify latency issues, especially with wireless devices, allowing for a better sound experience. Simply initiate the test and observe the delay in milliseconds as the app plays a 'tick' sound. With this app, you can better understand the performance of your audio devices.

App summary

[What is earbuds delay?]

1. The time when sound playback starts on the device (smartphone, etc.)

2. The time when the sound actually comes out of the earbuds.

The time difference between 1. and 2. is the delay of the earbuds.

YouTube or video player apps show the video as late as the delay time of the audio in order to eliminate this delay. So users feel there is no delay.
However, since this app does not perform such manipulations, you can experience the delay of your earbuds devices.

In general, devices connected wirelessly, such as Bluetooth, have a longer delay than devices connected by wire.

[How to test the delay]

When the clock hand pass 0ms(milliseconds), the device starts playing 'tick' sound. The delay is where the clock hand is located when the earbuds actually make a 'tick' sound.

I hope this app is useful to you.
Thank you.

It works superbly! Im not kidding, i used it for many Wireless headphone devices and they gave a different result each, a very good app idea. (If i could i would. Add better Ui, and better app design! Sure it may not be much, but this is a good way to actually measure a sound delay with devices without using a sound amplifier.)

Great app, just a single narrow ad banner at the bottom, nothing excessive so far. I would suggest adding a tap function to measure the delay and averaging it over some taps.

The spinning indicator is useful but what a strange way to label it. 100ms early? How can it possibly be early? It's actually 600ms late.
