Yet more nonsense from the people who brought you robodebt, yearly tax office failure, and the contact tracking app that never identified a single case. |

And then you can't get rid of the device within myGov , you can press disconnect in 2FA for mGov code generator, but that doesn't work. Can't believe that users have been complaining about it for months now, but is there anyone reading these reviews from app support team ? Called up the customer support desk, and 1 hour later - they are equally clueless. |
| 2024-09-23 |  | | If you use a passkey, the app will refuse to login. Changing passwords will still revert to security questions. Fundamentally flawed. Try again Australia, piggy back of google Authenticator. |
| 2024-08-12 |  | | Not good. Trying to get into my account as I have been locked out due to incorrect password but you need to sign in to use it. Well if I could sign in I wouldnt need the code generator. Ridiculous!!!!! |
| 2024-06-11 |  | | Terrible app. If you lose or change your device you can't download and register the app on the new device. There is no useful online information or assistance. Every online page sends you in a loop and gets you nowhere. You have to call and speak to someone on the phone which takes hours and they will likely drop the call on you a dozen times for no reason at all, and of course they don't call you back. Best of luck finding someone who knows how to help you too. Terrible system. |
| 2023-12-15 |  | | My MyGov account got deleted because the app was generating incorrect codes. I re-tried seperate times over months to see if the updates fixed the problem and randomly trying a code ONCE today terminated my account without warning. I now have to make another account. I have no idea if this effected my payments and no way to check until I manage to get a bit of signal. |
| 2023-06-27 |  | | Absolute disgrace of an app. How can you allow such garbage to get through testing? I'm an IT admin and I found it difficult to use, how are others going to use it? Either fix the app or switch to a push system or let us use our own authenticator apps. Specifically what's wrong? Well if you hit back after you finish setting it up, it drops back to the setup page! Then you have to go back to my.gov and remove the sign in option, then back on again (entering a password each time). Junk. |
| 2023-03-23 |  | | I'm glad to have SOME sort of TOTP available, but would really like to be able to retrieve the TOTP key and put it into my own 2FA/password manager a lá KeePass. This app is functional, but my own password and 2FA databases are backed up. This is not backed up. It would potentially even save the government money, by sending out less SMSes. Tremendous amounts of people already have Google Authenticator, and don't want another app, thus they opt for using SMS. |
| 2022-02-24 |  | | Installed app. Worked once. Next time the app said I needed to register the device which was already registered. Had to access myGov via the SMS option which is really hard due to poor reception to receive the code. Could not change the option to OFF. Then code generator said Unexpected ERROR try later. Only option was to delete app. Absolute rubbish. I use code generators for other systems & they all work PERFECTLY.. The government could not organises a P up in a brewery. |
