This is an aweful app to use. Every tap to establish the journey triggers a search that takes ages. Its overly complex. Good luck understaning the gibberish in the timetable screen. And it comes up with some really stupid journey plans TIP: Don't bother with the App, use the web interface. Which is mor responsive. Only a quango could do such a bad job writing an app which is obviously someone's pet project gone WRONG!

Hi guys just throwing an idea to you. It'd be great to have a scan your card feature in the app. That way you don't have to keep finding a machine or to ring Translink up to see what your balance is. 😊 Four years after this review, the app still is not convenient at all when it comes to ticketing considering it's a cashless transaction now

Just like Transport information on Google maps,Translink travel information is strange, useless and doesn't make sense in which Translink won't investigate and take action and continue to ignore as evidence by other issues still happening years later. App tell me to get to Westfield Upper Mt Gravatt to get a 169 from Boggo Rd bus station to Upper Mt Gravatt platform 2 and then get a 175 to around the corner even those Upper Mt Gravatt bus station is the bus station for Westfield Upper Mt Gravatt

Someone at Translink thought it a good idea to change it so you can't favourite a single stop/platform at a bus or train station. Instead you're forced, more often than not when you're in a hurry, to drill down to a specific stop or platform. Please revert this unnecessary layer of user interaction compelxity and make it the way it previously was. Edit 30 November 2024: Not only has this usability issue not been fixed, the app is sluggish and takes forever to load anything half the time.

The app is ok if you use its bus times with a very light grain of salt. I've had to reschedule doctors appointments and late to work because i missed busses consistently since they turn up 5 mins earlier or later than scheduled and are never within 1 minute of the scheduled time. Google maps is somehow more accurate than an app made BY the bus company

Extremely inaccurate information pretty much all of the time. One of the worst: it tells you to walk 650m from OOL Airport to the main road for a bus that actually drives right up to the terminal where you just walked from.

When I go back to this app (switching between apps) the real time info won't load. It shows a blank rectangle. Restarting the app always fixes this unti I switch back from any other app.

I am on holiday from the UK. Having spent 2 weeks in Sydney and relied upon the Opal app to get around, I downloaded the Translink app to use at Gold Coast. It's terrible! So far as I can see, it will only give you the time of the next tram or bus and not a list so I can choose the most appropriate time. I tried to use it just to get to and from Pacific Fair from Surfers Paradise but gave up and just stood at the tram stop instead. Have a look at the Opal App, Translink. It's excellent.

The amount of medical appointments I've missed due to inaccurate Information from this app is near criminal. The ui is so unintuitive you have to intentionally make it that bad. Coupled with the app being as slow as the train service it's just a nightmare. I'd say do better but I genuinely don't think they can. Update: months later the app still shows incorrect information leading to further missed meetings and appointments. Thanks translink, you're totally useless
