The rewind and fast forward buttons are extremely glitchy in audiobooks with chapters, so trying to rewind by a few seconds might make you go back an entire chapter or more and have no way of figuring out where you were before. Other than that, no problems.... As long as you don't want to ever rewind to re-listen to a sentence or something.

It was better when it was ad free. Greedy app needs to sell advertising for free books read by volunteers for free? Thank you for your quick response.I understand everything comes at a price. Especially in the world today. Could you at turn down the volume level of the adds they are painfully loud in my ear buds. I listen to books all day at work

Funny thing, before I paid for the Ad Free version, It used to be great, but for the past few months it hasn't worked properly. It does not play the book continuously, it just stops after each chapter. You have to click the next chapter, and even the it may or may not play.

I have the paid version to remove ads. I've been using Librivox for years and recently, there have been a few really bad bugs. 1. Audio stops after the section /chapter ends (not related to sleep timer). The time continues, but no audio. 2. Sleep timer often Doesn't work. I set it for 90 minutes and it plays for hours through to the end. 3. Sometimes I'll start a book, usually in the middle, then minimize the app, or lock my screen and the audio stops, and resets to the first chapter. Please fix

The app now has really long delays after the chapter. There are annoying ads. And it will not continue play from one chapter to the next. If you try and use the sleep timer when the chapter ends the dead are could last for an hour. Seems to be something wrong maybe with the last update but it does not work like it used to I will have to find a new app.

I have sent multiple emails about issues with the app. I never receive any response at all. Looking like I need to find another app to use. Book Design doesn't seem to care about it's customers. Terrible technical bug adding time to chapters which equals dead air. Initially time for chapter shows correctly until it begins audio. Leaves 45 mins up to almost 2 hours between chapters.

I love this app when it works. Unfortunately, I continue to experience glitches over and over again. For awhile it was working perfectly. Now it's back to having issues with the player - certain chapters are supposed to be 20 minutes long, but are then suddenly 56 minutes long. At other times, I suddenly can't skip forward or backward. It often tries to reset to a specific chapter/time stamp when I'm attempting to navigate. I see others have similar issues and am hoping we get an update soon!

This is by far the app I use the most of all my audio apps. It's so user friendly. It has a wide array of free audiobooks, and I love the classics. However, it has so much more to offer, like old-time radio - from music to historical to drama and comedy - this is a treasure trove of fantastic listening!

People mention that the books are "old", but I think that's the point. No one is spending the time, let alone the money to make sure the classics are more accessible to the newer generations. Because of LibriVox and it's volunteers, I am getting to enjoy books I didn't get to read in school. Some of the reading styles are off-putting, but it's free so I'm not expecting a Broadway performance by any means. I hope LibriVox NEVER puts up newer books. This is a special place for the classics.

The only thing I don't like about this app is its persistent attempts to return to where it left off. I like to fall asleep to audiobooks, so I frequently want to return to the last bit I can remember. Not if this reader can help it! I reset it to where I want it to be. I attempt to go to another app, or to turn off my screen, so the story can play in the background. The app shuts off, and when I reopen it, it's gone back to the previous location. It will run in the background after some time.
