2024-10-14 | jason good | I was locked out of my account for months. Automated system kept ignoring my attempts to communicate. I googled the company and found out some larger company purchased Extra. They're managing this app terribly and will most likely shut it down soon. Bail out quickly while you can. This has not been benefitting my credit score but continues to bill me.
2024-09-03 | AlkalineElectricGoddess | The Extra Credit Card is a great option for individuals looking to establish or rebuild their credit history. Customer service is A1 and the wait time is not long i really appreciated that I was given excellent customer service. Extra card offers a straightforward path to improving your credit score with No Credit Check Required: Perfect for those with limited or damaged credit. They are transparen, you know exactly what you're paying while they report positive payment history. Thank You Extra!
2024-08-19 | Cree | I've only had it a month n a half and it's already appearing on my credit showing positive results! Im so happy! I just saw my score went up last week when my sister was explaining how credit works and what creditors are looking for. I definitely recommend the experian app too to keep track of your results. It's always good to know your membership is worth it cuz I almost canceled it because money is tight but I'll be keeping it for sure now being able to see it on my credit report.
2024-04-29 | Daniel Parker | Genuinely never built my credit up beforehand and every attempt at establishing some was always denied and declined prior to signing up for Extra. Extra is Amazing! not only did they make it simple and efficient at creating an account, and getting a debit card ordered to your doorstep and connecting an existing bank account they were able to start my credit journey where every other attempt had failed. It feels like a weight has been lifted. I can't wait to grow my credit now!
2024-04-13 | Andrew Funk | Update to my previous review: I was able to reconnect my bank, but had to call my bank directly, as no concierge was able to give me a reason as to the issues. Extra actually helped me improve my credit score for the months that I used it, and the concept is brilliant. That being said... my bank is suddenly 'not compatible,' with Plaid (who Extra uses to verify banking info, etc.), with no explanation.
2024-01-28 | J C | Im really considering cancelling! I had a year membership with the bells and whistles (where they charge you extra to get rewards) $199 yearly. The rewards aren't great and I don't need them so after my year, I thought they ill change it. THEY DONT TELL YOU YOU CANT SWITCH! Now because I'm in the "highest tier" I can't do something different that fits me better. If I cancel they will report it to my credit where IT WILL NEGATIVELY EFFECT MY ACCOUNT. you'd be better with a secured CC
2023-11-10 | Novel Pen Name Author Lam | Although the bank disconnected, and only one bank can be linked, but it protects the original debit card's information. Also, my credit improved without the interest. It doesn't over charge me when I'm short. Instead, it just temporarily freezes the account until the bill is paid. Most importantly, the customer service employees were each very kind, transparent with information, and offered viable solutions. That kind of service should be reason enough. No app is perfect, but that improves.
2023-08-30 | Rebecca Rockwell | It would be a good app if I could use it. It's talen my membership fee of $25 but my card is locked and says to unlock it pay off the balance but I don't have a balance and it doesn't show that I have one anywhere in the app. I've tried to contact them but when I hit the Concierge button it doesn't open up so now I feel like it's just stealing my money since I'm unable to use the service.
2023-07-07 | daniel Gordon | I think it's a great app, good service. yes there is a monthly charge but I break even or better by spending my points on Amazon gift cards. You might need to do some math to see if it makes sense for you. and it helps my credit which is great. my only complaint is they often only give me access to a fraction of my checking account, sometimes I'll have $4k in my checking buy can only spend $500, so I always have to have a backup if I'm spending a lot in one day.
2023-05-03 | Joscelyn Terfehr | Constant disconnect from my "popular" bank. This app, for whatever reason, disconnects from my bank. To which you would think is an easy fix, but no. The app has a bug or a lack of processing that when you try to "update" your bank information it doesn't work. Literally, I have pressed "change my bank" a bunch of times and nothing happens. So updating my info, because payments are taken out automatically, doesnt work. And they won't let you make a payment unless you connect to your bank. |
