Sutradhar means narrator. India has always had the tradition of narrating and listening to stories. Knowledge of every kind has been collated in the form of these beautiful stories so that it is easy to remember and understand. We are attempting to translate this generations old tradition of Shruti and Smriti for our smartphone generation.

Considering India’s rich cultural heritage, we plan to bring stories from all parts of India and present to them in your local language. On Sutradhar we are already offering videos based on ancient epics Ramayan and Mahabharat and from various Purans (Vishnu Puran, Shiva Puran, Padma Puran, Bhagwat Puran, Harivansh Puran, Skand Puran, Garuda Puran etc.) and Upanishads in Hindi, English, Odia and Marathi languages.

Not only this, we also publish videos for your devotional needs like Vrat Katha (Ekadashi Vrat Katha, Pradosh Vrat Katha, Solah Somvar, Vaibhav Lakshmi, Sankashti etc) and historical and mythological stories about our festivals (Diwali, Bhai Duj, Raksha Bandhan, Karva Chauth, Chhath, Gangaur, Dussehra, Gudi Padva, Akshaya Tritiya, Holi, Basant Panchami etc.).

Our short videos are easy to watch and can easily be downloaded and shared on Whatsapp. Share these videos full of learning and knowledge everyday.

We are doing extensive research on each of these stories and try to bring the most entertaining version for your enjoyment. Stories like Pururava-Urvashi from Rigved, Nala-Damayanti from Mahabharata.

Sutradhar app is a great place to know the stories related to ancient Indian heritage but I am slightly disappointed because it has stories in regional languages like Marathi and Odia but not in Bengali which is the second most spoken language after Hindi. It's a humble request from me on behalf of the Bengali community to include Bengali language and stories from our region too.

I paid for the subscription but it is still asking me to buy one. No confirmation from app that I have bought the subscription successfully. 299 wasted. Don't know whom to contact. I will suggest others to be cautious before paying for subscription

Unable to Login. This app doesn't let me in. Loading... permanently after submitting the details required for login. Full marks 5* because I liked the Content, Design and the way of presentation as a guest mode. Very Informative for our Sanatan Dharm. Great for kids as well.
