I understand that Android TV is free, and that ads are (arguably) necessary to it's survival. But they're annoying, imperative, irrelevant, ugly, and overall just poorly implemented. I genuinely wouldn't mind the ads if they were: a.) NOT INTERFERING WITH NAVIGATION b.) I actually cared about what they were advertising c.) Relevant to my interests d.) For what I actually use my TV for e.) For apps that I actually have installed f.) If google easily let me choose a third party launcher without having to use android's platform tools to force uninstall this one g.) Did I mention that IF THEY WERE PERSONALIZED ADS. I am not Google's idea of "average consumer". The term "average consumer" is very subjective. Most people do not want to be forced into the category of "average consumer". Google is not my mom, I should be able to change my home screen to a different app if I want to. Having my TV lag every time I try to navigate to the top of the screen and feeling like I'm battling with an interface that doesn't feel like it was made to be controlled by a TV remote is really annoying. Thank you Google. For, instead of adding a wallpaper feature to Android TV, deciding to clutter our interface and forcing our wallpaper to an advertisement that nobody wanted.

Ditto. Before the latest release the took over the top bar with ads, this launcher was good. Smooth, clean, responsive, intuitive. With the addition of all the ads for content NOT appropriate for my kids to even see ads for! I have FIRED this app and replaced it with the ATV launcher paid version. It's not as featureful, but it's clean and orderly and OMG NO ADs! Google... well you're money grubbing bastards so I suppose I can't expect more. But NVidia! Really? I'm paying a premium for your Shield device why do this to me?!
